Wilson will cost a whooooole lot more than that. They aren't sending Willy to a divisional foe for a couple 4th liners, late 2nd, late 3rd, and a fine but not great young LHD (which they have a lot of). It will be a 1st+top prospect+maybe more. I know you'll say Willy isn't worth that but he's a unicorn that is the next captain of the Caps and NJD is in the division. If they ever put Willy on the trade block every team will be bidding for him driving up the price.

I have a Love / Hate for Tom Wilson. I love his play style -- I hate when he plays the Devils :-D
But I think you are correct -- and I also agree with you and what it would cost in trade value. He is a unicorn. I would give the assets for him...
