As a Sharks fan, I would be satisfied with that return. One thing I am wondering is why the Sabres are trying to trade Olofsson. Aren't they trying to make the playoffs this year?

Do you think Buffalo is still in on Timo? Seems like rumor mill has cooled (not that you can trust that anyways).

I think most outside Buffalo do not seem to understand that 11 years in a rebuild and the awful locker room vibe around the Eichel era has set some hard and fast rules to this stage of the team. At this point its all more about the long-term picture building as much on the current positive vibe as much as possible. I don't think many Sabres Fans would be heart-broaken if the team took several more positive steps for next years push. Meyer is a much better winger than Olofsson, about the same age and Olofsson still has a tiny bit of the last generation hanging over his head. I feel like it would be the best move for all involved.

Mittelstadt is not the right move here given his intangibles off the ice. He may not be the super-star we wanted, but he has played such a big part in making the youngest assets feel at home and helped generate a big part of the positive vibe in the locker room. Everyone likes him including Donny Meatballs. Loosing that intangible element in players like Mittelstadt and Okposo is a big no for the tem building they have at this time.

Gotta clear a top 9 roster spot and everyone else either has a letter or a very defined role. Also he is a positive asset, gotta give something to get

Honestly no. I think this season is about seeing what we have, and trading for meier in season seems contrary to the plan. I would hope there's a good look at the roster over the summer, I just have my doubts that Adam's is gonna make any big moves before then.
