Not unprotected in this draft. Especially not an unprotected 1st round pick AND Soderblom(and more). I’m not saying Lindholm isn’t great. I’m just saying Yzerman doesn’t work like that at this stage of the rebuild.

You do realize that Elias Lindholm is in his prime and is one of the best Centers in the NHL and we are desperately in need of a top 6 center and if the Wings added him our playoff chances would increase by like 20% that pick would be no higher than 17th.

I'd drop markstrom from the deal and save us some value there. If they'd sell Lindholm I'd be interested but I don't think he's as good as a lot of people do. Last year's point explosion was all his wingers not him. Plus he's a ufa in 2 years at 30 which puts you in an awkward spot to resign him. Still he'd make us better on day 1. Depends on the actual price I guess.
