Realistic Options That I Want

Created by: TonyInBuffalo

Initial Creation Date: Feb. 22, 2023

Description
Craig Smith isn't a high priority for me in the forward core compared to other options. Although, I think Kevyn will weaponize his cap and accrue draft capital with any chance he can.

That’s a very high price to pay for a pending UFA in Soucy. I hope they would be extending him and not letting him leave if you’re going to trade that much to get him.

If he didn't add on at least another year, I still think he gets a late 2nd in this market at the deadline

Smith has been a 13th forward and he makes $3.1M while having a $4.3M salary on a team that needs cap space. He was also waived. I'd do this deal; Bruins would be lucky to just pay a 5th.

I definitely got trigger happy with Seattle. Boston put out there that they want to shed cap, so I could imagine that public knowledge alone then had at least 5-10 teams calling them and lowered the price to offload him

I mean, the Soucy offer isn't crazy, but it is exactly stuff they'd want.
