How this is such a **** trade for the caps they get not enough in return for a very solid player in Orlov and a good 4th line player Hathaway plus double retention. All they get is a couple of picks with not much value and a useless players

The caps got a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for a pair of rentals…..be happy about that.

Yeah but a pair of rentals that includes a very good player with retention is not getting a good return if the return is one of the latest picks in the first round and a 2nd in the draft in 2 years and a 3rd, it is def not a good retool trade

Look at the deadline market over the past…whatever you want. Five years. 10 years. 20 years.

This is a very high end return.

I think This is a fair deal for Bos and Wsh. Maybe a bit towards Wsh. But still good.

This is good for the ducks as it sets a price for rentals.

It’s a high end value trade - the team is bad, they needed to move everything not strapped down.
