Not a fan, really. I suppose it's possible they could unearth the player he was in Toronto, but I can't help but feel like adding this risky cap is a big mistake. And a sign that there will be no Meier acquisition for STL.

A St. Louis sports team helping a Pittsburgh sports team?!?!? Just kidding lol. Kapanen is a good player but he wasn't the right fit for our system. Unlock him and he has potential. Key word is potential. I don't get why you guys picked him up thought but it helped his.

I dont hate the move. He's decent defensively and can score, just needs his confidence restored. If he finds his stride, there's more trade bait for lower picks
