HAHA, anyone that thinks the Rangers are given up LAF or Kakko, the 2023 1st round pick or the rangers top prospect will be sorely disappointed. The rangers are probably going to offer 2 2nd rounders and a B-C level prospect for Kane.

I think Kane ends up in NYR. I thought it was going to maybe be for Kakko + Kravtsov, but Kravtsov got moved for nothing instead

How do you see it working!? Other than Kakko, who could they moved out for Cap Space!? I don’t think it’s Laf, Chytl or Goodrow, since he likely won’t waive.

And I also don’t think CHI gets a 1st. They don’t have the leverage. I guess it depends how badly they want Kane who’s gone on a tear recently but has been injured all season.

Well it’s been 2 hours and none of you have provided anything constructive or of value as to why my proposal is far off (I’m not a NYR Fan btw)

I suppose I’m under valuing Kakko, but P.Kane is obviously currently the better player and gives the NYR a greater chance in the playoffs. Kakko got off to slow start to his career and hasn’t lived up to his draft position, but he is young and seems to be improving, so that would make sense but NYR also have the opportunity to re-sign either Kane or Tarasenko in the off-season

In any event, super easy to type “HaHa” “That’s Not Happening”, but I have a lot more respect for those who give this stuff some thought & effort y’know

There’s this thing called a Salary Cap, so the suggestion NYR sends a couple 2nds + B/C Prospect is just unrealistic and impossible. $2mil+ needs to be opened up to make this work

I’m confident P.Kane becomes a Ranger, just curious how that happens.

Try to be and do better guys

You’re going to be drastically underwhelmed with what PK88 brings back in return lmao…

I’m not a CHI Fan either, so I honestly don’t care. CHI’s gonna take whatever the NYR offer or they’re going to keep Kane and watch him walk for nothing in the off-season. My question was what does that look like and nobody has anything of value to add or say.

You’re the one writing underwhelming posts. You can’t even come up with a reasonable or realistic counter-proposal or even a whiff of a suggestion as to what NYR sends or moves out to fit P.Kanes 75% retained $2.625mil Cap Hit…

If I add LMAO 🤣 here does it make me and my post look better!?? LOL Hope you’re having fun regardless I guess

I’m not insinuating anything like that, so don’t hold a pity party for yourself just yet, but it’s exhausting having people provide such simple useless one liners and laughing as if they know something and then when you ask them for a reasonable counter idea or suggestion…. Nothing

Just try to offer something constructive is all I’m saying and I don’t know that the lol is supposed to mean, it comes across as snarky, so I just mirror it back. Make sense!?

I mean what do you really expect. You’re insinuating I’m out to lunch and have high expectations when I’ve been clear, I don’t know who else they would consider moving to facilitate the deal. Heck, maybe CHi send Kane 75% retained (with the help of a 3rd team) + a decent Pick or Prospect for Kakko. I don’t know but NYR can’t take any additional Cap or Lafferty back for example

NYR currently only has $1.67mil or $1.9mil at the Deadline

Is Waiving Leschyshyn’s $767k enough to fit Kane’s $2.625

$1.67 + 767k = $2.437
$1.9 + $767k = $2.667 (barely with $42k to spare)

Looks like it will be a Deadline deal and barring injury, they’ll run a 21 man roster till the playoffs. Should be interesting

My new prediction is NYR pay CHI their 2023 2nd and a 3rd Team a 4th for retaining an additional 25% of Kane’s Cap Hit. If NYR is generous, they'll throw in a Prospect but CHI holds absolutely zero leverage over n this trade and the NYR hold all the cards if CHI wants anything in return for Kane
