Chicago is not going to want more to retain for 2 years after this year at $2M per; tying up deadline offers for future years. Kerfoot is going to be UFA, so his salary is a favor for the leafs, supposedly Abruzze is ~2nd value and a first another year off, would likely need to add your third and maybe another 1st. Look at Hagel trade as a comparable which did not include retainage.

I agree but if Dubas wants to be stupid then Nashville should allow him to be

Really atrocious trades for Leafs; Sandin is way more valuable than Jeannot (4th liner that doesn’t score). McCabe is over hyped - he signed with Hawks as a FA because no one wanted him at that term and aav (same as Domi); comparing him to Hagel (cost controlled RFA with top 6 potential) is outrageous

I don't think you realized that the Hagel trade was a massive overpayment as was most of the other deadline deals last year (except maybe Gio's bc he signed for 2 more years)

Did the Lightning not get to the Stanley Cup Finals? Where have the Leafs ended nearly every playoffs? Oh, right. First round exits.

So have you only watched Jeannot this year or did last year not happen for you when Jeannot was 2nd in Rookie Scoring behind Bunting

Yes cause Hagel was the reason they made the finals, Hell The Bolts would’ve been eliminated in the 1st round if you didn’t get handed a 5 on 3 for the worst Dive I’ve ever seen & Yes Hagel was a RIDICULOUS OVERPAYMENT

Because Brandon Hagel was definetely the difference in between the Lightning leading the league in PP opportunities during the playoffs (on average 20 power plays per series) 🙄 🙄 🙄. Brandon Hagel also was responsible for Vasy playing out of his mind good... Hagel was so good that they went from winning the Stanley Cup to being bailed across 4 series and still losing in the end... Definitely better than saving you 2023 1rst...

I wouldn’t have done it if I was the Chi GM, but I guess there is a reason I am not a GM. I don’t know cr@p.
