Description

Kyle Dubas has been looking for a d-man and Jake McCabe is the kind of gut that will fit this team and Sam Lafferty is a good physical player as well and is having a career-high season offensively. For the Holl trade I don't see the Leafs bringing him back so this trade helps them recoup their draft capital.

Hawks decline. Not even sure that gets McCabe with retention. Definitely doesn't get Lafferty as well.

Lafferty is having his best offensive season indeed. He needs another season with better production to be legitimate. A regression would make Lafferty a journeyman forward with limited production with stops in Pittsburgh and Chicago.
