I’d rather have Boeser but at this point Garland is making more and more sense with the situations we are in

Garland has been unfairly bashed by Canucks fans. He has done exactly what he was signed/asked to do. The biggest reason he's bashed is because he's overpaid by about $1 - $1.5M/year. He can score (usually good for a 15 - 25 goal/82 game clip, and up to 45 - 55 points/82 games) quite well for a 3rd liner (can sub into the 2nd line), he plays a tough game as an instigator, but is undersized at 5'10". His defensive game is above average as well with respectable +/- on crappy teams.

I do like Garland but I wish we could keep Pettersson. If its true we are acquiring a forward from Vancouver I hope its Garland and I hope we only trade a defenseman to bring up Smith, who keep in mind had 5 points in 9 games. Sully did say that he wanted more scoring from his defenseman and I think this is what will end up happening, which I dont absolutely hate.

I wish Vancouver would trade for Smith instead of Pettersson...but apparently we're trying to win the Cup next year, so that won't happen.

I'd rather trade Smith too but cap space prevents that from happening
