With the way the trade market has been going, I think a late 1st is a reasonable price, especially with retention. But I doubt that happens. It was reported that CHI is asking for a future 2nd

But looks like you got a 2nd for Domi and taking a cap dump in Anton (I guess a cap dump - isn't he out for season?)

Khudobin is buried in the AHL and he is also a pending UFA. So, he is of little consequence to CHI. It might even be a positive thing having a veteran like him down in the AHL being a mentor for our prospects.

Domi is playing at an almost a 70 point pace, comes at a very reasonable cap hit, and he is just having an all around fantastic season. But regardless of that, Lars Eller just got a 1st. Plenty of guys got 1sts or 2nds with good players/prospects or other complementary picks. It isn't unreasonable to think Domi could've done the same. But our GM doesn't seem like much of a haggler. Which is fine as long as he gets halfway decent hauls and continues to draft well.
