Edmundson stays bro he got all emotional and wants to be part of the process and has trade protection for just keep him and let him be with younger guys not always needs to be about the return as he's a person too and expressed desire to stay

I actually agree with you here, I don't see Harris as part of the core 2 or 3 years from now so why not move him now for a similar value prospect at a weaker organizational position. A top 4 of Edmundson-Guhle, Matheson-Savard is still pretty good and still allows for the other core peices (Hutson, Guhle and Barron) to develop further. Keeping Eddy doesn't block any long-term core players from playing time now, so why force a move?

He's literally a perfect guy to mold the future of the team, cup champ, love the city. I just don't see why trading a guy who wants to be there and help the team is the habs no1 trade deadline deal for most. Habs already have 5 first in the next 3 years not every deadline needs to be massive and asset oriented. If anything trade drouin and maybe Dvorak I don't think Monahan moves based on injury unless it's similar to the nyquist deal for a 5th. The whole point of Edmundson is great for the habs in creating the culture of the team. Really think he's a long stay on the team.

As much as I love eddy and he is a great player to have a round we have 3 veteran already that can provide that. As much as I would like to pick him over others, he is the moveable guy. He will get us the best return rather then letting him walk at the end of next year or over paying him for too long and screwing up our asset management.
