I'm really not sold on Buffalo, Hall notwithstanding and the improvements that Florida has made, imo, aren't enough to get them into the playoffs, and they're still looking to trade their 2nd best d-man in Weegar. I also think Boston takes a step back, especially if 63 and 88 are out to start the season. Detroit of course is still in the basement and Ottawa, while improved, realistically isn't quite there yet. I've got Tampa/Toronto and then Montreal as 1-2-3 in the Atlantic.
But I've been wrong plenty of times before, especially when it comes to trying to predict teams in the Atlantic lol</div></div>
As long as the habs can score I believe we could have a fun year

Hopefully, Sabres look good, Panthers just need scoring depth and they are good, leafs look good, lightning defending, bruins taking a hit but the first line and Rask can still carry for a bit. Atlantic may be hard to crack a spot but not as hard as the metro 😂

Julien will not separate that 1st line on opening day.
Maybe after 15-20 games

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Habs4ever</b></div><div>looks good. Might see Toffoli next to Suzuki as well. I think Edmundson plays in front of Romanov for first half of season, maybe full season. Juulsen if healthy can also play solid 3rd pairing. The team certainly looks a lot deeper than previous years. Should be a good year!</div></div>
Defence will definitely be moved around quite a bit through the year but #1 priority is Romanov, the kid is gonna become something special.
I feel Juilen will start Drouin with Suzuki just because of the hype they got in the playoffs but 10-15 games in Juilen will actually realizes that Drouin sucks and has no work ethic and put the Toffoli - Suzuki - Anderson line together, which i think will be great. Hopefully Juulsen is ready but i just can find a situation where he punches his way in, maybe Kulak out but he’s proven himself so Juulsen will have to as well.

McDavid could be playing with a 8 year old and still put up 80 points in a season.

Danault or Tatar out the Door
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bigshame</b></div><div>You can’t look at just their point production. That line is the #1 5v5 line in hockey playing against the top lines from other teams every shift with hardly a lick of pp time. IMO Danault is as valuable as Gallagher</div></div>
honestly it all comes down to KK, if he takes this next step this year, and personally i don’t think he will but what do i know

this coming year in the NCAA as a sophomore will be fine for his development, if you take to long on players it also affects their development.

totally understand that but as soon as danualts defensive ability slows down as all 2-way forwards do, due to new generation of players he will be just getting payed for skating.
I fully respect danualt but you look around the league at coutuier, bergeron, etc and they didn’t get raises from just there defence game.

barley a 50 point player with a hometown discount should only be 5-5.5 but he thinks he is a 1st liner so yes he will be asking for a lot

I think he needs to get on that early and if he intends to resign the Petry's and the Gallagher's and the Danault's of his team, he should consider doing that very soon. My personal preferences are for them to keep all three of those players, and if that means paying upwards of 20 million to do it, than so be it. It's hard to win a cup without guys like Danault and Petry and Gallagher has been outstanding for them.
BTW: What is your avatar?! Is that a pig?! :)</div></div>
Totally agree, I feel petry will decline sooner then later so i wouldn’t give him a long term.
