Probably.

I'm not a fan of the D depth but they'd have a very good offense supported by one of, if not the best offensive d-man in the league as wll as, IMO, the best G in the league.
Unless they pull a TB this is a CF team IMO. Add a better d-man than Hunt, even if it meant moving a depth F, and they'd be cu favorites

Probably definitely a cup team.

What the basic roster looks like at this point

With a lack of cap it’s hard. Some people don't realize that.

Danault or Tatar out the Door
It all depends on the development of Peohling this year. If he makes solid progress and they have any trouble resigning Danault than they’ll have move on from him. Not what they want but harsh reality is you’re right. They can’t keep both and only reason I’d resign Tatar is if we know we’re losing Danault. I’d choose Danault over Tatar tho

Players of the Year 2019-2020
At first I didn’t see Leon and was about to say something not sooo nice about this but I moved my thumb and there he is soooo I like it. Good job way he ran away with scoring this year was special to watch.

I’d probably include Ovechkin and Kane instead of Malkin and Couturier, but this is otherwise pretty spot on.

Caufields First Year
Gallagher will get more than that, even on a discount. Anders Lee got 7 million, Kreider got 6.5, he's definitely in that conversation. Petry will also probably ask for more $ if you only give him 2 years.

Caufields First Year
A little cheap on the RFAs there mate...
-Domi most likely ends up in arbitration with a one year deal meaning we'll have to resign next year
-Why would KK take a 2.2 bridge? Pretty sure he could get something around 3.5 for a bridge
-Why would Lehkonen take less money than he's making now while being in his prime?

ADORABLE PIG!
And I agree. I am fine with the money, but I would be concerned about Petry's term (and adding NTCs/NMCs to contracts)

COL accepts but MTL must include game worn jersey by Roy in that infamous DET game.

Not close. Montreal doesn't have the assets to do it. Maybe if they hadn't beaten PIT it'd have been a remote possibility, but now no way

TBL trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jakemattice</b></div><div>I doubt he will play in MTL.
He will probably take a buy out then re sign in tampa.
Depends if he sees MTL as a "playoff bound" team.</div></div>
In that case, the price likely needs to be higher as Tampa gets cap relief and still keeps the player. That arrangement with any team (at least in the East) will cost TB its first pick or something close to that.

Turcotte or Cozens @3?
Turcotte IMO. Better puck handler/hands, playmaker/vision/hockey IQ, and two-way game. Cozens shot is a little better and he's more physical, but neither of those are enough to me to take him over Turcotte.
One quote I've heard that has stuck with me is this: "he's kind of a Brad Marchand type who plays center. He's got that 2-on-1 ability, he's got a great shot in tight, unbelievable vision, and he plays with an edge" - USNTDP U18 Coach John Wroblewski

Cozens. I think he's the more skilled of the two, and he's much closer to being NHL ready.

The package for Tarasenko should be more valuable than the one for Duchene. Duchene is going to be UFA, and Senko is under contract for 5 years. Blues will be looking for much more than your offer.
Also I think Calgary paid the Islanders a 1st and two 2nds for Hamonic less than 2 years ago. So they'll definitely want more.
