I wouldnt say that with 100% certainty - I think after they figure out what their cap situation is going to look like next year (i.e. have all or most of their players signed), they could re-bark up this tree, as the cap will likely not be flat the year after.

They would still say no this particular deal because of the prospect involved and the fact there isn't any retention. Lambos isn't available, and certainly not for Boeser even if he was.
