Description

I made this list last year and wanted to again. NOTICE I am not calling any of these players bad, the point is the shout out people that are immensely skilled in their skating, shooting or vision yet do not produced at levels you could expect from someone with their skills. For example last year I had Daniel Sprong on this list, because he probably has a top 5 shot in the NHL yet he would not score as much as people way less skilled than him. This year he has made a jump and has looked like a 50+ point-getter. For Example, Arthur Kailyev has been one of the most productive players from the 2019 draft, but he like Sprong has arguably the best shot in the NHL yet only has 11 goals this year. I have always wondered if it is a mental processing error that holds these guys back from being elite players in the NHL. The player I always think about this with is Jesper Boqvit, because I think there are maybe 20 people in the NHL that have the Hands, Speed, and Shot Combo he has yet he only has 14 points this season. Would love to hear if I forgot anyone else that fits these criteria and who else you think has graduated such as Dylan Strome, Casey Mittlestadt, Daniel Sprong, Ilya Samsonov, and PO Joesph from my last edition.

This is a cool concept and a pretty damn good list. I get putting Fehervary here, but he's more of a defensive minded guy with some offensive skill in my opinion so i'm not sure I'd have him here

Thats fair, as a caps fan I still think hes really good for us. But think we traded Seigs because we saw a higher ceiling in Marty but yet his points have been stagnant at just short of 20 for all 3 seasons he has played for us. I think his skating and shot is too good for not at least putting up 30 points a season.

weegar's actually having a really good season by his career standards, especially defensively, he's just had some awful luck putting up points after two very good offensive seasons.
And Risto is basically the opposite of skilled but cant put it together, he's never been particularly skilled at anything except being a power play guy.

Love the sprong love. He is my favorite player in the league. Reminds of prime ovi tbh
