3 Team Deal

Created by: Skytown
Team: 2023-24 Pittsburgh Penguins
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 6, 2023
Published: Mar. 6, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
It has been said that Vancouver wants a young C as opposed to draft picks in a Miller trade, so here’s an idea.

New York will be tight in cap, having many FA to sign, so moving out Chytil would make some sense. Tough pill to swallow, but might have to be done. Offer sheeting a player between $4,201,488 - $6,302,230 costs a team a 1st and 3rd, so that’s exactly what Pittsburgh gives up, and adds a good depth piece to help NYR with cheap players.

Chytil and Pettersson are then flipped for Miller.
Not sure if Pettersson would be included, but Chytil for Miller straight up seems way to cheap for Miller.

No clue who is getting signed, or for how much/long but I just filled the roster with current Penguins.

NYR aren’t trading Chytil. What they’ll do is sign the 3 RFAs and most likely have to sacrifice Goodrow. A buyout they gain 200k, if a trade doesn’t work out. Hes effectively another 4 million bucks off the books

Yea a lot of people speculating this is a problem for them in the summer, but it really isn’t.

They could trade Laf tho, for a RW. Only because they are LW full with 5 guys

If for some reason (cap issues) the Rangers do trade Chytil, it won't be within the division.

Trading Chytil would be a big mistake which could blow up in Drury’s face much worse than the Buch trade…so I don’t think that’s happening unless a C prospect in D+1 or D+2- who has sky high potential (the kind of player teams don’t look to move) is coming back. Detroit has been mentioned as a suitor….well if they are willing to send Kasper back (no way does Steve Y do this) then Drury should listen. But to trade Chytil for a quantity return involving grit but less skill- I can only hope he has learned this lesson.

The pens don’t want to trade defensemen. They are losing Dumo and Kulikov at the end of the year. They kinda need LHD. They would only have POJ and Ty Smith next year in this scenario.

The trade looks like Chytil going to the Pens to me.

Ok, I see what you did. They aren't trading Chytil unless his contract demands are out of line, but if they did, the western conf would make sense.
