Description

1. The New York Rangers win a playoff round this year.

It would most likely be against the New Jersey with the Devils having home ice advantage.

If that happens, Ottawa would get a 6th round pick from the Rangers instead of a 7th round pick in the Tyler Motte trade.

2. The Ottawa Senators reach the Eastern Conference Finals this year.

We would have to ...

A. Make the playoffs by securing a wild card spot.

B. Probably beat Boston in the 1st round with the Bruins having home ice advantage.

C. Win the 2nd round against either Tampa or Toronto with the Lightning or the Leafs having home ice advantage.

If that happens, Arizona would get Ottawa's 2024 1st with Top 10 Protection instead of Washington's 2024 2nd in the Jakob Chychrun trade.

If that happens, Arizona would get Ottawa's 2023 1st at #29 overall.

Trading him wouldn’t be an issue.. buyout definitely isn’t necessary

Trading him would 100% be an issue.

He would go from having one of the best contracts in the league to being a cap dump.

It would be devastating for Ottawa.

I didn’t realize he was involved. They would likely just have grounds to terminate the contract… simple as that

First of all, IF anyone gets convicted there's still only a 1/8 chance its Batherson. And the fact that nothing's happened yet more than likely means nothing ever will happen with regards to Batherson.

That means there's a 1 in 4.4 chance it's Batherson.

So, your math is a little off.
