Matt Roy likely costs more. He would be a great add though, the type of defenceman I like.
Schmaltz I think is better as a winger, he would be a great add to the roster but not as a centre.
I also have an issue with the price, that pick is looking to be between 15-18 and there are still some really good options there. We have big holes at RHD and centre and that pick could really help fill one of those holes. I have us using our pick for a RHD and that pick for a centre.

Yeah I figured Roy would cost more, I don't really watch the Kings so I wasn't sure on his value. I think Schmaltz would be a great fit and I have no problem moving a pick in the 15-20 range. There is no guarantee that pick ever turns into a regular NHLer and Schmaltz is producing at a point per game the last two seasons.

For Sebrango and the future second we'll give you Sean Walker, who also has one year left on his contract. (Keep the fourth.)

I like @Lancebmx's strategy of Sandin Pellikka or Reinbacher with your first pick (one should still be on the board) and a center for the Isles choice.

I think that might be a bit pricey for Walker but he definitely is someone I'm interested in. Also trading that pick should not happen at all if these players are as good as everyone makes them out to be, which after looking at alot of numbers they seem to be quite good.

Agree with you on all facets; my point was that this offer is too short for Roy. Walker should be Sebrango and a third or a future second. Prospects (i.e., using that Islander pick) fit your development schedule better than Schmaltz (or anyone else you're likely to get for it).

Agree that Schmaltz is a RW over a C. Would be a good add, but I think ARI is going to get to a point of financial desperation that the BOS 1st + Johansson/prospect might get it done.
