Trading your 1st pairing RD for a mid-round pick seems counterproductive. Especially since you didn't replace him with a better player.

Also a 20-man that is tight to the cap is just begging for trouble. Injuries happen.

i agree but ideally u trade campbell but we know thats not happening. youd have to hope broberg and bouch can take the next steps and if they do then ceci would be making 3.25 mill on the third pair i like ceci a lot just seems the odd man out if the young guys step up. it sucks cuz the cap was supposed to go up 5 million this year but isnt which wouldve easily helped keep ceci or get depth. maybe u can trade more and get a 50% retain on konecny and use that cap to sign 2 forwards and dman for depth

Ceci isn't the odd man out at all - Broberg is a lefty. The obvious odd man out is Kulak, what with Nurse, Ekholm and Broberg under control for term.

And you don't have any depth anyhow, you've got a 20 man roster with no cap space.
