Two years of Peterson isn't that appealing to the Kings. But gotta think eight years of Sanheim is worse.

Sanheim is a fine defenseman on a team that has forwards that backcheck and can still produce offense. A defenseman isn't automatically bad when he plays on a team that has the ice tilted in their own zone for far too long. The Flyers have traded other players before their no trade clause kicked in and I could see them doing it again.

Seems like Smith is the reasonable expectation for the pick and where the Flyers likely will slot.
