Description
This isn't what I think will happen or even necessarily the most I'd want to happen, but it should be the bare minimum goal for both corrective turnover and 1st round draft haul. They probably can't get all the way there on the LD turnover, but they need to legitimately try.

* - The Byram offer sheet is a bit fantastical to suggest, but boooooy would it be a stiff uppercut. Signing Orlov or perhaps Graves (not sure about that one) would certainly also be acceptable in its place.
** - About 1M retention may be available on Krug, and both trade offers are more general suggestions than firm asks.
*** - I'm not yet sold on Buch at C, but just wanted to give an example of how things might look that way.
**** - Snuggs doesn't sign until next spring, when college season is done.
***** - Bolduc and Dean are among those who might move up to the big team for a look or more next season.
****** - Regardless of how next season unfolds, Vrana and Kapanen could be TDL candidates to move.

NHL Draft (using current draft positions)
#9 - Reinbacher
#26 - Price or Lindstein or Molendyk
#28 - Stramel

Has Leddy been that bad to have to pay to move him?

Maybe, maybe not. Teams get paid for junk all the time, so who knows? But this whole thing is trying to be conservative with expectations to set a bare minimum baseline. But yeah, he's enough of a problem that I'd pay this to move him.

Doubt if any team wants to take up Krug's 6.5m.

Me, too. But supposedly some teams called about just that notion at the TDL, so hope lives.

Well even if a team on trade list wants him, they would need heavy retention a cap being returned to the Blues.

That may well be, but like I said in the description these aren't firm trade ideas and Krug could be retained on to some extent. Heavy ain;t gonna happen. But no, some teams can actually just afford him. Pittsburgh is one of those teams and it's a team he'd actually waive for.

Leddy, at 3 x $4m, I'd imagine gets some takers.
If Blues wanted a return, retain a little salary.
At 3 x $3m, would get some goodies back.
At 3 x $2m, would probably get a good asset back.

A million is conceivable. I cannot imagine them retaining half without a damn good asset coming back but cannot see anyone doing that. I'd just like to move him along with a minimum of pain.
