Lmao no? McCabe is better than Sandin and JVR is nothing more than a PP specialist that wouldn't even be used on the top PP in Toronto.

I don’t think so. While Sandin has been excellent for the Caps, it’s important to remember he wasn’t going to play that same role with the Leafs as long as Rielly is under contract.

Sandin has also be dog water defensively for the caps.

That hasn’t been the case at all… Sandin-TvR has been easily the best pair offensively and defensively in Washington.

They’ve been one of the best pairs that Washington has iced the entire year. Sandin has a 12.2 defensive score (the Athletic), which is up 2.6 from the last card when he was in Toronto. Adversely, TvR has actually seen a defensive rating drop, which is supported by actually watching games, Sandin has had to further step up his game since coming to DC and it’s been clear that he has.
