Description
Having a feeling Bergeron retires after this year but I think Krejci goes for one more run before he calls it quits.

Couple of points:
1. Think the re-signings of Clifton and Hathaway are extremly realistic as they both love it here and are very affordable and Sweeney type players.
2. Lysell deserves the callup and we need him as he is on our ELC to help our limited cap room
3. As much as it hurts trading Swayman is key as we can not afford him and the rise of Brussi or Keyser in the AHL willl give us a back up
4. Adding a pick to dump Rilley and trading Forbot for a middle round pick is key for cap space

You can get way better than just a 2nd for swayman

Honestly, I don’t think Swayman is moved. Sweeney said it wouldn’t happen and he was an untouchable. I like what you did but again, if Bergeron is done I think Krejci is as well. Defiantly things need to work out this off-season but overall this looks decent enough.

If Swayman is on the market lots of teams will be interested , that will drive up the cost. I can see Ottawa being in the mix, they may lob Pinto for him.

It’s the 2nd pick in the 2nd round, 34th overall. It’s as good as any 2nd can ever get and in a deep draft it might as well be worth more than a 2nd

They could probably get more for Swayman, but I think if they trade a goalie it will be Ullmark. Swayman is only 24 and has shown that he can be a starter in the NHL. If Swayman ends up getting $3.5+AAV, I could see Ullmark being gone and it'll be Swayman/Bussi.

You also haven't signed Frederic, who is looking like a 20 goal scorer right now and will be getting a bridge $2-$2.5AAV contract.

Nosek does not come back for that little, I could see the 4C spot going to Beecher or McLaughlin.

I would also rather get rid of Grz than Forbort, we have 2 legit 1D who can move the puck very well and while Grz is good at what he does, I would like to get back some picks and maybe a B- prospect for him.

I think you're also looking at trading one of Coyle or Hall to fit in Frederic and give realistic money to FA's, and that also allows you to maybe have both Swayman and Ullmark for another year. Most likely Hall because the C depth on this team is not great.
