I didn’t want them to send Bolduc back down in the first place tbh. I agree that these will be the lines if everyone is fully healthy, but I wouldn’t be shocked if Holmstrom finds a way to stick in the lineup for the rest of the way. Also I think Lane should move Lee back to line two, and promote Engvall to line one regardless of whether Barzal is healthy or not.

For special teams switch Bolduc and Dobson on the PP and I’m pretty much ok with those units. To be honest with you I prefer Fasching to Palmieri, and that’s not even a knock on KP. KP’s been good down the stretch but this team is very deep and there r times where a legit middle six winger can get lost in the shuffle. Just like on Tuesday when Cal Clutterbuck went off and KP was snake bitten. I’d be interested to c if Lou tries to move him in July. I’m not sure if he has negative value considering how bad this years Fa class has shaped up to be.

I like Holmstrom's game a lot as well. He makes a lot of good safe plays with the puck especially for a young player, but I don't see how he could stick in the lineup over Fasching and Lane definitely wont bench Palmeri especially in the playoffs. Clutterbuck could be the odd man out, but again I'm skeptical that Lane would remove a vet in the playoffs (unless they play poorly for a few games). I am interested to see what happens with the Islanders lineup next year as well. I think with a full season of Barzal and Horvat together and the growth of Romonav the Islanders could be a very good team next year.

If they need to make room, my guess is that Ross would be waived and brought back up for the playoffs should Barzal return before hand. But I’m more sure if it’s an issue because they never placed Barzal on IR

Waive Bailey, no one is picking him up and if they do awesome. He won’t even have to report, just a paper transaction.
