Description
Tavares signs the hometown discount deal that is on par with ROR's ticket and you pay Marner out of the difference. You can afford to bring back McCabe and Woll with the difference remaining plus the additonal cap for 25/26. By that time one of Hildeby or Akthyamov is ready to back up Woll and you let Samsonov walk.

Your next wave of forwards in Tverberg, Hirvonen, Minten, Moldenaouer and Grebyonkin should be ready to push for spots by 25/26. Some might be ready sooner. Villeneuve is the next defenseman up from the Marlies. Guys like Ellis and Voit are trade bait.

Is that "deserve" if he wins cup? What if the unthinkable happens in first round, still 13.5 mil?
