Your head's in the clouds on that EDM trade. They're not so desperate for cap space as to need to give up a 2nd for what equates to 900k in cap space while absorbing an extra contract year. Even if he isn't worth the full contract, it's at most a 500k cap inefficiency which, given Zadina's established track record, is less of an inefficiency than they'd be acquiring (not to mention that extra year of said contract). You want to talk about a 1-for-1 swap of established play for potential then maybe there's a discussion to be had. Otherwise, EDM will create cap space via other means.

I think Acciari is a great target, checks alot of boxes I would be looking for. I also like The idea of Hill and don't mind the idea of Hill. I'm all for taking on Bailey, would prefer not to send anything back. I think in a contract year, along with being a cap dump, he might have something to prove and be more effective. If not he just gets demoted and no harm done.

Foegele is bigger, stronger, scores at the same rate, has more play off experience, and is vastly better defensively. Worth every penny of the $925,000 more then Zadina.

Players are not "cap dumps". It's a term used to describe a type of trade.
