You know we can trade him for the best return regardless if it'd mtl or not. Need that Florida 2023 1st and kidney as a base

So you're saying if this the best mtl can do the jets don't explore trading him as a rental for a full year and get equivalent of 2 firsts and some other asset. Mtl simply needs to have the best offer and this wouldn't be

Also that would be too start and on the same page as the fans. They most likely run it back and have to ask themselves come deadline what's more valuable a couple playoff games/just missing and actually selling ufas to start a new core.
