I like how the team looks here. The Brodin trade looks good. Adding C.Miller and Malcolm Subban to the trade was a good move. A few reasons that I gave it three stars. I don't think that Arizona would make the trade and take Beleskey. Not unless they toss in a draft pick at very least. Even a 6th round pick and maybe Heinen instead of Czarnik. Might be able to get something done with someone to shed that contract though. I had the Bruins giving up a 4th round pick to Vegas to get them to take him. Probably need to make a deal with them if they trade for Brodin anyway in order to protect him. Otherwise.. I'm not sure Jumbo Joe is the answer here nor am I sure he'd sign. Looks good on paper, but he's definitely a risk for decline. I'd rather try to sign a winger with that money. Maybe Justin Williams for 2-3 years(4 million) or if they had the cap space I'd try to get Oshie for 6.5. Oshie probably isn't a realistic option though. And they might need one more depth piece on defense though I'd live with having to use some kids if injuries happen. Grzelcyk is a good replacement for Krug. And they may be able to call on O'Gara, Zboril, and even Cross if they had to. Not sure Lauzon will be ready, but he may be closer than he seems.

I just don't see the appeal if I'm either of MIN or ARI and here is why....

Minny - Off that entire package, the 1st probably is the most vauable to them. They have no need for Spooner, Subban is a huge wild card (no pun intended) and Chiller is probably their 7th d-man. I guess they could turn around and flip Spooner, but that's more time and resources Minny has to spend and at best it might net them a 2nd rounder back.

Yotes - Team that continues to build. Bels is a sizable hit for a 3rd liner and outside of his psychical play he doesn't add much to the Yotes. Czarnik is a decent young piece, but lets be honest he's an undersized playmaker that is more likely to be a guy who bounces between the NHL and AHL. Just to take Bels you'd probably need to give ARI a 2nd or 3rd and if you want Duclair you'd probably need to throw in a guy like Henien or Cehlarik vs Czarnik.

I keep saying, get off the Brodin deal. They want to much and anything we come up with of equal value they would say they don't need. I don't like giving away prospects and high draft picks for him.

I have no problem giving up that package for him. He's 23yr old top 4 d-man that's on a decent contract.

Well from a Bruims standpoint....bravo. But the other teams would not take those deals with a gun to their head.

Wild pass. for the reasons already stated.

Thank you Bruins fans. A lot of your trades do nothing for the Wild, but the overall values aren't bad. After a day of looking at the complete randomness (some good, a lot bad, and some that are almost troll posts) of Brodin to MTL made up teams, I respect that even more.
