This is not the type of trades Blake would do. They have patience in their prospects, and have a decent analytics group that would not be impressed by Edmundson, especially for two of their top prospects.

The Kings would be dumb to not do this. You could easily flip the 1st into an even better defenseman and Edmunsson isnt that good imo, but he would be a very solid piece. Turcotte is cooked and Spence sucks to lose but is replaceable.

Turcotte could still turn it around like Vilardi, but imo its better to just move him to de-clog the position

I'd rather have Spence and Turcotte than a late first. Patience with Vilardi and Byfield have paid dividends. The Kings draft needs are left shot defensemen and goal, this is actually a weak draft for those positions. Probably why they traded their first this year.

Kings don't have a lot of cap space, just taking on Edmundson's contract would make it tough to sign both Vilardi and Gavrikov (or his replacement). Turcotte and Spence will stay in LA, Blake has been patient with his prospects.

Los Angeles would be more likely to trade you those two players WITHOUT Edmundson being included in the deal.
