Description
I’m still fuming from last night. Worst regular season loss in ages. Now I know how it feels to be a Mets fan.

Anyways…time to pull the plug on these vegetables

Make Nelson or Horvat captain, give Barzal the A.

Islanders add wahlstrom to wings trade for the cap dump. Original trade is so far off that I went so far off in the other way

After me just pressing stuff in the trade deals, I needed some realism

Maybe a few years ago but not now. Clutterbuck has too many hard miles on him and isn't worth his AAV.

Sure, idc. Wahlstrom isn’t that good anyway

He’s got a year left. He’s a decent 4th liner when healthy and a leader in the locker room. I wouldn’t care if the isles kept him if it took more to offload him. His AAV isn’t that bad

He wouldn't be an awful addition to the fourth line. Hits, is a good leader, not bad defensively. Considering we are getting some compensation I would accept him on the team, would try for a better pick though.

We need to keep roster spots for young players. We already have enough vets to compliment the young guys. We're just chasing our own tail if we're taking cap dumps and filling the roster with over the hill vets.

If we're doing that then we might as well kept Kenny Holland as Red Wings GM. We'll never improve this way.

Buffalo isn’t giving even a decent pick for a $5 million third line center. Maybe you can have the seventh round pick that Nashville gave us for Apslund. You’re not getting a third round pick unless you’re retaining at least $1.5 million on the deal.

I get what you are saying but we also need some toughness and grit on this team. Also injuries are guaranteed so they will get chances then

It's a fine balance. Stevie has to be careful this summer. We're at a very pivotal point of the rebuild right now. Larkin has hinted at the team needing more toughness.

I haven't got to watch enough games, but I feel like they aren't that tough to play against. I personally like a tough team as it resembles my style of play. I like teams with skill and grit and a good defensive play. I also don't mind letting kids that haven't really played pro hockey take a bit of time in the AHL. They would be my first call ups though if they are deserving.
