Los Angeles has an excess of forwards and any exchange that doesn't involve a LhD or goalie has to be cap-neutral of cap-positive; we can't afford to add Goodrow's $3,641,667 cap hit.

Trading Trocheck makes this team much worse and that trade is giving him away. 63 point 2C, that plays good D, plays physical, plays the PP and is great in the face off circle is way more important to the team than a couple of draft picks. He is worth every penny he makes too.
