Description

As much as everyone wants the Jets to go full rebuild which personally I think would be exciting to build a new core but I can’t see the Jets doing it.

Winnipeg pays to see wining teams not losing and you’ve seen this year that when they are playing bad fans don’t come. So between how the team is built and the management I feel like it will be a reset and will be still pushing for a cup next year.

Needs:
- Trade Wheeler or buy him out worse case scenario
- Try to sign Dubois. All though he might very well want out but really you don’t ever actually know 110% because media makes such a big deal out of things that really could just be one little thing. So if the Jets give him a letter which I believe they should and go on a little run in the playoffs I could possibly seeing him sign a contract with us but again you never really know in these cases they might just be able to convince him.
- Top 6 forward
- Build a powerful bottom 6 with extra cap space
- Find a solid backup goalie
- Trade Schmidt as much as a locker room presence he is he’s just making to much $$
- Get a new look on the back end

Don't you think if PLD was willing to sign a multi year deal it would have been done by now?! He has already informed the Jets he was testing FA.

I somewhat I agree and never said he wants to test free agency. But I think being trapped underneath scheifele really can take a toll and a talented player like him but I think now that he’s now taken that #1 role and is now one of our main guys for every situation I think there might be a chance that he stays. But again we’ll see you never really know what’s gonna happen. I might be completely wrong

With all due respect, I think that the hope that Ville Heinola, who has all of 35 NHL games under his belt and has spent most of the last two seasons in the AHL, would bring you even ONE second-round draft pick is wildly optimistic.

Ya I can see why you would say that. He came into the league at 18 and everyone thought he was the steal of the draft then as soon as we traded for Dillon and Schmidt we just didn’t make room for him so I do still think he can become a elite defensemen plus hes dominate in the AHL I think he just needs a full roster spot on a NHL team. But ya I wasn’t really sure what the price would be for him kind of a tough one to judge
