There's no quick fix to the team. Roster needs to be nuked

Some really good, and realistic, ideas here.

I like the idea of re-signing Zucker. The danger is that he regresses from his excellent showing this season. My alternative was to sign Michael Bunting for the same money, which has the risk of his not producing as much with Malkin as he did alongside Matthews (and he seemed to slump in the second half of the season).

Barbashev is a great idea, too. I had J. T. Compher for the same money on the other side.

Monahan is risky but could turn out REALLY well.

Buying out Granlund and getting the resulting cap space is a far superior idea to keeping him, and I don't think that there's much of a trade market for him.

Graves would be a Godsend.

I doubt that Boston would let you get away with swiping Swayman, but if they did, he could be the long-term answer in goal. I'd take the risk and sign him for 5 seasons.
