Flames do need a bit of a re-tool or a few tweaks anyways. They’re lacking heart and a few pieces: More Defensively Responsible and Less Lazy 2C than Kadri, FaceOff Winning 4C, Future Tanev 2RD and a Big Nasty Shot Blocking Penalty Killing 3RD
Sign Domi or put Dube at 2C and Kadri at 1RW or 2RW since he’s so lazy and terrible defensively. Tanev can be moved to 1LW or 3RW with Pelletier or Dube at 3LW & Backlund at 3C
Trade Kylington for Duclair straight up (or Ruzicka instead if Duclair comes 50% retained). We have enough depth to replace Ruzicka and Duclair & Toffoli can compete for extensions or their jobs over Dube, Mang, Coronato & Duehr. Both guys should still have excellent Trade Value at the TDL
I really want Noel Acciari as our 4C and would prefer Connor Clifton, Matt Dumba, Justin Holl or Jani Hakanpaa as potential future Tanev Replacements
Zach Aston-Reese is another Physical Penalty Killing depth option if Lewis retires
Duehr likely signs for $775k and I recommend bringing in Jonas Johansson as insurance and competition for Wolf
Weegar stays with Andersson and if we do go with Stecher, have him play with Hanifin. Stecher isnt the best partner for Big-Z imo, Tanev would be better and thus his minutes would be sheltered
Finally, the Cap is expected to increase to at least $83.5mil next season and you can adjust that when you start the AGM and put in the title OR when you’re in Edit mode
