Gotta ship out Joseph i think. Can't waste that much cap space on 3 goals.

In theory, swapping Cat for a cost controlled top 6 winger can definitely make sense. You free up the goalie money you need, and can replace a chunk of the lost offense from Cat.

I like Burakovsky as a player. But first of all, I think the gap from Cat to Bura is at least a 1st. Cat's "disappointing season" this year would be better than any season Burakovsky has had in his career. But the thing that kills this to me is health. Alex Debrincat is underratedly a very durable player, he just just doesn't miss games. I don't know how you justify moving a talented, healthy player for a significantly less good player who you know is almost certainly going to miss 15-30 games a year.

Lets make it a 3 way trade and send that 1st to Arizona for Vejmelka. So we leave with Vej and Bura for the same cap hit

The other player that could be interesting is Necas , 1 year left at 3 million. Canes have a fair amount of cap space.

Necas is extremely untouchable
