Meh.

I imagine any new Leafs regime will try and regain some draft capital and some cap flexibility and hope for some hometown discounts like I show with ROR and Max.

Nylander isn't the one that should be moved out.
and you still wouldn't make a goalie move?
even with this, still loosing in the first round lol.
Can't wait to see Mathews walk away to LA in his next deal.

Samsonov has been decent for them. What else can they do? The only UFA goalies I can think of are Talbot and Jarry, and will either one of them be the answer? Could they maybe kick the can for a year and chase something bigger then when some contracts run out?

It’s so tough, because you can make an argument similar for any core 4 forward. Matthews is the last you’d move right now. Tavares is gonna be super hard to move and that’d kill the locker room. Nylander is currently on an elite contract and is a bonafide top line forward. Marner has more upside than Nylander but costs way more and you’ve already had some issues with negotiating

In the end, Marner would probably be the guy I’d move, but I wouldn’t be shocked with Nylander
