I don't see Murray waiving or Arizona taking on 6m in actual salary. Schenn taking a pay cut....seems rather disrespectful. But I like the lineup. Leafs Just might have to buyout Murray or even there is cap, demote him at about 3.6m cap hit.

In my mind, Bunting is done as a leaf after this suspension. So if you don't need that money, you resign ROR and then demote Murray if you can't trade him. Hell even waive him and keep him with the big club like we did with Simmonds all year. A buyout with it's 2 million dollar 2nd year is a nonstarter.

You're right about Bunting. Let's try to resign ROR. Murray to the Marlies costs about 3.6 m in cap and Woll's cap is cheaper than 4.7m Murray, Hope Murray plays well with Marlies, so maybe a team would trade for him for at least part of the season.

Really the top FA goalie is Jarry and he's as injury prone as Murray and hasn't played much better. Murray makes an appearance on the playoffs at some point and plays well and he could have real value.

Problem is you've underpaid all the UFAs, Kampf/Schenn taking paycuts? Why would they? About 1-2mil off on those two, and ROR, playing the way he is, is an easy 5mil, so you're down to 20 skaters at best

Also the difference between BOS 1st and ARZ 2nd picks isnt enough for someone to take on a 4.6mil unreliable, often injured backup. Maybe ARZ 3rd.

Really you're completely dependent on moving murray and guys taking well under market value, really just to ice this years team, all the while cutting down on the needed cap space you'll need in 23-24
