I think Buffalo just needs a reliable goalie to help mentor Levi. Someone with more experience like Varlamov or Reimer

Do you think Buffal would give up their 2023 first? If so, that (instead of the 2024) probably gets that trade done, unless Arizona is looking for a king’s ransom (which they should be).

Good argument to that.
I just have a hard time thinking BUF can convince a goalie to sign. They still dont have a great reputation, their defense leaves the goalie out to dry a lot and they wouldn’t be the established number 1.

Vejmelka was the 1 in Arizona and he put up good results.

I don’t think they do. Maybe they add a non Kulich/Ostlund/Savoie prospect

If neither is involved its declined immediately. Crouse has double the worth to Arizona than any other team. There's no need to trade him

Fair point! That's why I like your Mayfield addition. With another year of development and adding a player like that to your top 4. It's more appealing to a goalie. You would still need to overpay though. I wouldn't mind that for 2 years though

No they shouldn't. Neither player deserves a kings ransom, and their values dont skyrocket by putting them together. These two are definitely not netting the yotes more than jakob chychrun.

Crouse isn't available, And that offer doesn't come any where near getting both Crouse and Vejmelka.

So bottom line is, That Buffalo isn't linked to Crouse/Vejmelka because your offer is nowhere close to getting Crouse much less adding Vejmelka to the deal.

Fair point. My idea is that the Yotes have no incentive to trade these players other than full commitment to the tank, and that it’d take a lot to move them.
