Boudreau was fired a long time ago. He was always supposed to be a temporary coach...

I meant to use past tense. Now Tocchet is the answer and it'll all be the same thing. Fleet success around long stretches of mediocrity.

Once again, you aren’t understanding how things are working. Canucks hired Tocchet to get players in line and to implement systems. It’s not because of a Cinderella winning streak like Boudreau. Canucks have played sustainable hockey under Tocchet

This is literally the exact thing you guys have been saying 3 coaches in a row. Green was the guy, then Boudreau and now Tocchet.

You obviously aren't watching Rielly in these playoffs. The guy is fully beast mode

He was in beast mode last year too. These playoffs have showed he's too valuable to the leafs to trade. Plus he'd likely block any trade, I mean he signed his contract for a reason. Also, lets not forget he was a front runner for the captaincy when JT ultimately got it, still think MR should have been chosen.

I agree, he's such a good guy as well. How he handled that incorrect homophobic slur accusation made me like him so much more as well. Did nothing wrong and when it was proven he still made a point to talk about how more work is needed to stamp out that talk. What a gem of a human

Hughes is easily worse than makar, karlsson, toews, morissey and josi to name a few

Hughes is way better then Morrisey lol

Leave it up to you guys to chirp a guy who's killing it in the playoffs. Rielly is a beast, the Leafs love him.

Not sure I've ever agreed more with anyone on anything. I've been a huge advocate of his on here when everybody was throwing him under the bus. Also, he takes a lot of flack about his defensive game but when he makes a great defensive play none of the haters on here mention it. He's a hell of a hockey player and an even better person.

I don't care if he's a little leaky in the regular season. In the playoffs he's always been lights out. Just like this year.

I think he's better than he gets credit for. Everyone is so quick to throw shade at him when he makes a mistake in his own zone but never give him credit when he makes a spectacular play. It's almost like ppl don't understand the difference between a offensive defenseman, defensive defenceman and a 2way dman.

You listed 5 D you said were better then Hughes this year. Out of them, Hughes was both better offensively and defensively then 2 (Josi, Morrisey)

He was also better offensively then Toews, and better defensively then Karlsson

He's always a force in the playoffs, he's been just terrific all series. Why would they ever not want this?

Toronto has no interest in moving Rielly. He's a major leader on the team

Then this trade doesn't happen! Canucks fans everywhere cheer as they keep the younger and better player

It makes sense to keep the younger player when you are still rebuilding team

Not really when the younger player is already better than the older player, and still hasn't hit his prime...

Cool

I don't get what you're in deniable about. Hughes is 23 and just put up more points this season than Rielly ever did in a season. Not only is he better offensively, his defensive metrics are also superior to Rielly.
