Calgary isn't retaining. They need all the cap space that they can get, without taking any back

Alberta rivals trade a pair of underperforming players making similar money again. Edmonton gets the goalie they really wanted in the first place. Calgary makes room for Dustin Wolf.

Sure we will. We actually gain a little bit of cap space this way and Soup is UFA a year before Marky too. With Bonehead Brad finally gone we won't be trading away any more high picks just to dump one of his bad contracts.

A goalie coming back does not open a spot for Wolf. The Flames should have NO INTEREST in Campbell.

This is exactly why EDM doesn't do it. Markstrom is more for longer, and they have Skinner who's already won the starters job.

Obviously we would either flip Campbell or trade Vladar too.
