I could see the Kings potentially swapping Kaliyev for Fehérváry, but I don't think it would be 1-for-1. Washington needs to add.

i wouldn't add. Kaliyev imo hasn't shown enough to make me believe his value is more than MF...

Kailyev is the best pure goal scorer the Kings have had since Luc Robitaille retired. The Kings aren't keen to trade him, but will if it makes the team better. IMO Fehervary doesn't do enough to warrant the Kings giving him up.

At that point you are getting likely getting oshies and backstroms contracts off the cap hit if not this off season. That frees up 9.2 and 5.75 mil each. If they really needed to they could find a way to move pieces like TVR or Jensen assuming guys like sandin, feherevary, Alexeyev, and Iorio develop into bigger roles. They will go out and get a top six forward like Ehlers to get younger and boost their bottom 6 goal scoring.

So... the theory here is the Habs WANT Mantha at 4M?
