Caps 2024
Bad trade for kuzy. If the caps trade kuzy for just picks a first should be coming the other way. I really hope they don't trade him.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Z0ra</b></div><div>Michkov nhl arrival: 3 years
Dvorsky and benson nhl arrival: maybe nhl ready, at most 1 year
Picked benson cause of skating
Benson will be in the NHL sooner than Michkov, size really doesnt matter</div></div>
ovi will help get him out of russia a year to two early and the caps will land themselves the second best player in the draft.

If Michkov is on the board at 8 there is no chance at all that the caps don't take him. He is the second best player in this draft behind Bedard. Ovi will be able to get him off his contract sooner than expected as well.

Done Deal
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>brady_t12</b></div><div>I’m curious as to why you feel that way. I think DeBrincat is far and way the better player. I wouldn’t give up more than the 2024 first for Ehlers and it seems like that won’t get it done. This seems like a worthwhile investment assuming we get ADB locked up long term.</div></div>
first of all i believe that otto was asking price might be too high. debrincat is more of a sniper is a year and some younger than ehlers. but i think ehlers has a much more resonance contract as debrincat is seeking 8.5 to close to 10 mil in his next contract. ehlers is an elite skater and is one of the few players comparable to mcdavid. he is third in the entire league in terms of zone entries per 60 and i just think his skill set is exactly what the caps need for the future. also with the fact that his ice time and usage has been criminally misused by wag the last couple season and especially this season i think he is the best choice.

i love this fit tho. he ranked third in the nhl in successful zone entries per 60 and he is one of the few players comparable to guys like mcdavid skill set wise (obviously not as good). i like him better than any other option except for keller but i would much rather keep this years pick

IF you said... WAS #8 pick in this upcoming draft, I would say DEAL!</div></div>
If they give up the 8th pick I would assume it would only be in a package to get Keller but I don't see any other possibilities where they move the 8th pick.

And then we make move for another top six forward and trade Mantha</div></div>
I also like signing Bertuzzi in free agency. Don't want to trade too many futures because you should be able to make the picks back up at next years draft when you can flip kuzy.

This is absolutely atrocious for Washington. Wilson isn't going anywhere unless the offer is really worth while. Not a couple future thirds and a cap dump

A proper restructure
if your trading the 8th you might as well go all in and get keller. if not trade next years first and some and then make up those assets by flipping kuzy at next years draft

Caps take this and run but not exactly sure why the sharks would look to trade back when they can snag Michkov, Carlson, or smith. They ask for more value coming back the other way as well.

You could also have 1 wade Allison or 1 nick deslauriers. There’s not as much value in that second as you think. We have no idea where WSH could finish in 2024-2025.</div></div>
not specific to the flyers. it was just that came up but s young player from any team that fits the description.

ehlers is a great skater, skilled, and can produce. assuming wsh doesn’t trade the 8th ovr pick he is one of the better options in my opinions

Bratt and Yegor
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>fil97</b></div><div>honestly bratt is very good and it would not make sense to trade him for the devils, I would resign him. but most importantly it makes no sense for wsh. they have to rebuild, there is no way around it and keeping that 8th overall is the best thing you can do. also keep Mantha and hope he has a better season maybe at the deadline some teams will give you some kind of assets. lapierrex is also a possible future 3rd line center that could be useful.</div></div>
lappy def has more upside than just a 3rd line center. he was projected a top 5 pick in his draft prior to his draft year when he injured his neck.
