    I’m curious as to why you feel that way. I think DeBrincat is far and way the better player. I wouldn’t give up more than the 2024 first for Ehlers and it seems like that won’t get it done. This seems like a worthwhile investment assuming we get ADB locked up long term.

    first of all i believe that otto was asking price might be too high. debrincat is more of a sniper is a year and some younger than ehlers. but i think ehlers has a much more resonance contract as debrincat is seeking 8.5 to close to 10 mil in his next contract. ehlers is an elite skater and is one of the few players comparable to mcdavid. he is third in the entire league in terms of zone entries per 60 and i just think his skill set is exactly what the caps need for the future. also with the fact that his ice time and usage has been criminally misused by wag the last couple season and especially this season i think he is the best choice.
