Trading Dobson for Nylander would be a disaster of epic proportions. I’d love to have Nylander, but I would never make this trade just based on the fact Dobson is far younger, plays a more valuable position and is under control.

You don't make this deal to "try" and sign Nylander. It better be in the bag already. Lol

Relying on Dobson as a top Defenseman is a failure of epic proportions. I would do this trade all day, every day. Maybe take out the pick, but I am by no means a fan of Dobson

As much as I appreciate your willingness to mimic my language in the first sentence (And I’m being sincere about that), I would not trade Dobson based on the second half of this past season. A large portion of the issue has to do with Barzal’s injury and poor adjustments by a rookie Head Coach. Dobson will be fine.

Lmao I understand. I wouldn't be opposed to giving him another shot, but my goodness he was bad last year. Regardless I still think to sign Severson if possible and then resign Engvall if they don't make that trade

Severson would make sense at a slightly lower AAV if he doesn’t want to leave the tri-state area. He’s a far superior player than Mayfield is.

My gut feeling is Hawks will want a 2nd to take Bailey.
