Actually the Jets say yes very fast. This trade would redefine the franchise. Dach and Michkov? For PLD and a midround first? Nevermind getting Kovacevic back, especially after learning that Gawanke is giving up on north american hockey.

there's zero chance the jets take michkov. We have a ukranian choir sing our anthem five times a year, there's no way we use 5th overall to take a russian who may or may not play in the NHL for five years. Frankly, I'm not all that interested in Dach. PLD, Stanley and a later 1st (we need to make other trades too) for 5OA and Kovacevic makes a lot of sense.

Just because you can't tell the difference between Putin and normal citizens doesn't mean no one can. The Jets just traded for Namestnikov and signed Chibrikov. They're not going to be prejudiced against an incredible player because of his nationality. This isn't Quebec.
