Thats a lot to give up for a second line center, the Caps would give you Kuzy for less.

I'd prefer Schmaltz for age and contract value. In reality, it's giving up two very late first round picks so they don't hold as much value as two firsts from most other teams - might be an overpay but it means the Avs don't have to give up a prospect given that their cupboards are pretty bare.

In this draft there is extra value, and that's a bad move for a guy who basically doesn't play C to play him at C, whatever CF says positionally.
