The Pens left side is bare without Pettersson. They would have to overpay two UFA's to replace him and the open spot left there by Dumo. It's just not a good move for the Pens.

Pens probably pass. They lack depth on the left side and there aren't a ton of options in free agency. Combine that with Pettersson having a great season and his value is at an all time high to the team
