Salary Cap Mode: Basic

Description

Based on keeping the puck out of the net against elite and mid tier opposition, there are no better viable options that Mayfield and Gudas, superior to Ceci and Kulak.

Ekholm and Bouch are the top pairing. Reducing Nurses minutes would be good.

Broberg as 3rd LD is a concern. He does have good stats against mid and bottom tier players (in limited minutes) and gets absolutely caved by elites. But playing with Gudas should be a good match.

Even if the Habs were interested in adding a defenceman (they have too many already), why would they not just sign a UFA?

CBJ accept, and even throw in Bemstrom.

Kulak is the exact type of player they need - a B4 defensive-D vet on a short, cheap contract. A replacement for Gavvy and a bridge to Mateychuk.

They have a plethora of poor quality defenceman. Ceci is not poor quality, he just is not the ideal fit with Nurse. He would be 2nd pair and possibly first pair on the habs. Look at the UFAs available and who could they sign?
