If lafreniere’s value is somewhere near a top 10 pick and a bit, would the rangers look to move him for dubois, even if Dubois might not sign long term?

I’m good with that but in real life it would come down to Drury actually discussing an extension before the move and I’m sure it comes down to 5+ year extension that’s not too much for their cap situation. Doubtful that it could work

It would need to be without an extension. If they think they can get an extension done, the price certainly goes up and the rangers add. This is for a 1 yr Dubois without any extension talks.

Laf is available, but for a young/cheap rw. We are not trading for a big temporary cap

I don't mind this to be honest, I feel like Dubois is ultimately looking for those big city lights (despite the Montreal rumours).
